Past Events Take a look at some of the tours, fundraisers, luncheons, and community events the Honshu Chapter has orchastrated or helped out in. FedEX Tokyo Facility Tour
Mr. Babe Pockalny presented the Honshu Chapter a tour of their facility on 27 February 2008. The FedEX Facility is located downtown in Tokyo. 14 NDTA members assigned to AMS, LRS, and SVC made the trip to the FedEX facility. Presented was FedEX's summary of operations procedure, service to the DoD customer, future plans, and a first hand look at how the shipping floor works. Wow! It was amazing to see the workload handled very professional and expediant. Our young troops/members learned a tremendous amount of info which they will put to good use as the DoD continues to do business with the corporate side. As for the committee, viewing the process from the corporate side and how it impacts the DoD was a learning experience not easily forgotten.
  NDTA HQ President Visits Honshu Chapter
Lieutenant General Kenneth R. Wykle US Army (Retired) NDTA Annual Golf Tournament
Held in April 2007 and raised $4K+. All corporate sponsors attended the Golf Tournament at Tama Hills. Proceeds were allotted to the Scholarship Foundation. Thank you to DHL for donating the prizes and to all our corporate sponsors for the door prizes that were raffled off.
2007 Iruma Air Show
This was the first challenge last year and we did great. The fundraiser sold over 300 steaks and profited $2K. Thanks to LRS for heading that up.
2007 Yokota Friendship Festival
The 374th AW opened their gates to the local community and the NDTA was on the scene selling steaks and hamburgers faster than we could cook them. Thank you to all the volunteers and our committee for executing that. The net profit was $4K.
An appreciation breakfast was given in honor of our volunteers for their weekend work at the New Sanno Hotel, Tokyo. 2007 NDTA Invitational Golf Tournament
